I’m Karl,
a photographer
and creative director.
I work across photography and film, producing editorial and commercial imagery shaped by light, timing, and a strong sense of place.
For over a decade, I’ve collaborated with brands in sport, fashion, and the outdoors, including Finisterre, Holderness & Bourne, Twothirds, Foreign Rider, Oceana, Dunning, and Kudhva, creating work that feels considered, grounded, and quietly distinctive.
Film has been central to my practice since I first picked up a camera as a teenager. Working with 35mm and increasingly Super 8 has shaped the way I see. While I move fluidly between analogue and digital depending on the demands of a project, the discipline and presence of film remain foundational to my approach.
That foundation also informs my wedding work, photographed on 35mm and accompanied by Super 8 film, approached with the same restraint and documentary sensitivity.
Alongside commissioned work, I run a curated fine art print shop and continue to develop long-form personal projects.
My work continues to evolve across photography and film, guided by restraint, atmosphere, and clarity of vision.
