Winter photography workshop

JANUARY 23-24, 2019

£350.00 Per Person

I’m excited to announce that I will be running my first two-day photography workshop on January 23rd and 24th 2019 from 8:00 am - 18:00 pm, at The Watergate Bay Hotel in Cornwall.

This workshop is open to everyone but aimed at natural light, lifestyle and editorial photographers as well as brands looking to take their product to the next level through storytelling photography.

We will also be shooting film and I welcome anyone with an interest in film photography to feel part of this as for me it's a large part of my work.

The workshop will be split into two separate days, with the first day being an 8 Kilometres ocean/trail photography walk where we will all have access to models and props along the route. This will build nicely into Day Two where
we will discuss the previous day's events plus a wide range of topics and business practices to further enhance your photography or/and your brand.

We will meet at the Watergate Bay Hotel for an early morning drink and debrief ahead of the photography
walk on Wednesday, January 23rd, 2019.

Start time will be 8:00 AM in the lounge of The Watergate Bay Hotel (Exact location in Google maps).

We will then pick up the South West Coastal Path, situated close by and walk towards Mawgan Porth.
This is an approximate total distance of 8 Kilometres along the coastal path with the ocean alongside us.
It's a super walk for learning about light, composition and scale. Accompanying us on the walk will be our
models, this will allow everyone an opportunity to shoot with these guys and get an understanding of what
techniques are used to tell a story, this is a great opportunity for photographers to get a further understanding
of composition and to work with models in a real life scenario.

Early morning Tea/Coffee/Water and WiFi will be provided.
Please bring a light packed lunch, although we will be ale to stop along the way.
The walk will be followed by a drink at the hotel if you would like to join me.

Best Parking Option:

Either park in the car park opposite the Waves apartments for Free or park in the Watergate Bay car park
for a small daily fee.

Nearest Airports:

Newquay Airport is just 2 miles from Watergate Bay with taxis running frequently.

Newquay has some really lovely places to stay all year round, however, Winter is the ideal time to find a cheaper deal. Outside of an Air BnB, I would *recommend the following:

Watergate Bay Hotel
Travel Lodge Newquay
Best Western Hotel
The Headland Hotel & Spa
Fistral Beach Hotel & Spa
The Pentire Hotel
Sands Resort
Carnmarth Hotel

*Not an ad, these are only my personal recommendations.

This is going to be a super in-depth workshop and I’m looking forward to meeting everyone in January!
