Karl Mackie is a surfer, photographer, craftsman & owner of Mackie Studio, the creative branding agency based on the coast of Cornwall UK.

Karl Mackie is a UK based commercial, landscape and travel photographer with a background in Design and Brand Development. He lives in Newquay, Cornwall with his wife and two children. He divides his free time between the trails and the ocean.

With over 10 years of experience photographing landscapes, surfing, golf, fashion and events. Karl has worked with Noosa Longboards, Esquire Magazine, Surfer, Foreign Rider, Conde Nast Traveler and Heimplanet to name a few. In 2015 he was commissioned by Dunning Golf to shoot at the Trump International Golf course in Aberdeen, Scotland. The shoot was a success and he now travels the world capturing the beauty and drama of some of golf’s most iconic courses with tour players such as Nicolas Colsearts and Charles Howell.

For the past 5 years, he has also worked closely with TWOTHIRDS as part of their Ambassadors Programme, providing content and writing the occasional blog centred around their mutual love for the coean and our ongoing task of protecting both the ocean and our environment.

Karl's work appears online and in various magazines including Dunning Golf, Conde Nast Traveler, Cereal, Tree House, Watergate Bay, Beach Retreats as well as the national newspapers. His images are often used by national tourism agencies to promote their destinations.
